Tackle Women’s Depression with the ZELMA Foundation
Women's Mental Health has a new champion in the ZELMA Foundation set to launch sometime in October of 2020. Founded by published author Vanessa L. Harrill, the ZELMA Foundation will provide online support groups for women battling anxiety and depression via ZOOM.
Harrill was recently interviewed by Mental Health Coach Joseph Bonner on his nationally syndicated radio program, the Joseph Bonner Show, where she shared personal details about her sister Zelma’s battle with depression after contracting HIV.
Although not a licensed psychiatrist, Harrill hopes to provide support with a “life coaching” approach but told Joseph that she believes that every woman should speak with a psychiatrist to deal with clinical depression and anxiety disorders.
Although the Foundation is set to launch in October, women are being encouraged to reach out to the Zelma Foundation on Instagram to stay connected and be updated on the exact day for the launch.
