Chicago shootings this past weekend

Violence in the city of Chicago (or anywhere, for that matter) has not been news by any means. Rather, it is the alarming rate in which this violence keeps happening. This past weekend police reported 63 shootings between Saturday and Sunday. 8 of the people shot were killed. Over half of the shot victims were wounded within a 13 hour period and the Chicago Tribune reports that at least 16 more people were shot through Sunday alone. The victims ages ranged from 14 to 33 years old. This is the second largest shooting after the Fourth of July weekend so far this year.
